A new ESERO Office was inaugurated at the University of Latvia in Riga on 21 October. ESERO is the European Space Agency’s flagship education project for children and young people. With Latvia, the network now has 23 offices, as it celebrates its 20th anniversary.

ESERO uses the inspiration of space to promote science, technology, engineering and mathematics. It supports teachers and educators with professional development, teaching resources and hands-on projects, and shows students the careers available in the space sector.

ESERO Latvia is run by the university together with Ventspils University of Applied Sciences and the Cēsis Space Education Centre, and is co-funded by ESA and Latvia’s Ministry of Education and Science.
