How we work

LITOS NEWS publishes only good news: progress, discoveries, solutions and acts of kindness from many countries. This page explains openly how our stories are chosen, written and corrected.

Where the stories come from

We only use reliable sources: news agencies, quality newspapers, public broadcasters, official bodies, universities and research institutes. Every story names its source and always links to the original article, so you can check everything yourself.

How they are written

LITOS NEWS stories are written with the help of artificial intelligence (the Claude assistant, made by Anthropic). Working from the original article, the AI checks the facts, picks out what matters and writes a short text in its own words, without adding facts, figures or quotes that are not in the source.

The English and French versions are also translated with artificial intelligence. Other languages use Google’s automatic translation.

Every story carries a note reminding readers that it was written with the help of AI, as required by the EU Artificial Intelligence Act.

Who is responsible

LITOS NEWS is an independent personal project by Bruno Pereira (Litos), who sets the site’s rules and is responsible for what it publishes. Contact details are in the Legal Notice.

The images

Photos are illustrative images from the Unsplash photo library, always credited to their author. They illustrate the topic and do not necessarily show the actual place, people or moment of the story.

Mistakes and corrections

Despite our care, mistakes can happen. If you spot one, please tell us through the Contact page, ideally with a link to the story. We will check and correct it as quickly as possible.

Other rules

We do not publish stories about party politics, war, crime or tragedies, and we do not publish the same story twice. Stories are removed from the site after two months. The site has no intrusive advertising and no tracking tools.
