The Semar team from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) in Indonesia placed second in the Prototype Electric Motor class at the 2026 Energy-Efficient Car Competition (KMHE), held at the University of Jember from 1 to 4 October.

The team competed with its flagship vehicle, the Semar Prototype Electric 3.0, which was upgraded before the event. It also entered the Semar Urban Electric 1.2 in the Urban Electric class, gathering data for future development.

General Manager Kaisar Al-Kahfi called the result “both an evaluation and motivation”. The team plans to strengthen its research and prepare more thoroughly for upcoming competitions.
