The Private University of Santa Cruz de la Sierra (UPSA) in Bolivia received the “Industries with Impact 2026” recognition, an initiative of the National Chamber of Industries and a corporate social responsibility outlet that highlights good practices creating economic, social and environmental value in the country.

The award recognises how the university builds social and environmental responsibility, ethics and good governance into teaching, research, outreach and management.

Rector Oscar Ortiz Antelo said the challenge is to train professionals who, beyond technical skills, understand the impact of their decisions and contribute to their surroundings. The university includes this vision in its strategic plan to 2034.
