The Faculty of Computer Systems Engineering (FISC) of the Technological University of Panama, at the Panamá Oeste Regional Centre, held a day of talks on artificial intelligence and cybersecurity as part of the 15th Engineering Week, themed “Engineering without limits: innovation for an evolving world”.

Engineer Miguel Saavedra spoke about the opportunities, risks and safe use of AI, and a cybersecurity specialist addressed social engineering as a major threat. Second-year cybersecurity students ran an interactive awareness session.

The programme also included a cloud gaming workshop and a hands-on session on firewalls, network switches, VLANs and Wi-Fi captive portals.
