Computer engineering students at Khon Kaen University in Thailand have developed a digital system for Sila Town Municipality to track licence expiry dates and fee payments, supervised by Assistant Professor Manaswee Kaenampornpan.

The project began after the team took part in artificial intelligence training and hands-on workshops to identify the everyday difficulties faced by municipal staff.

The platform stores licensing data, flags expiry dates, tracks outstanding fees, calculates charges automatically and gives managers a real-time revenue dashboard, making public services faster.
