The University of Bucharest’s Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science will host the sixth World AI Collegiate Championship (WAICC) on 21–22 November 2026. Founded in 2022 as Nitro NLP, the competition is open for the first time to pupils and students worldwide.

Teams, which may include students from different faculties, have 23 hours to train an artificial intelligence model on a new dataset, aiming for the lowest error. Organisers say success depends on creativity and conceptual understanding rather than computing power.

Ahead of the contest, free workshops in English take place on 14–15 November.
