Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) marked World Mental Health Day with a two-day programme on 13 and 14 October at its Institute of Health Sciences, themed “Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change”.

The programme included workshops on stress, burnout and mindfulness, an open dialogue forum with experts and a poster competition on psychological safety.

It was organised by the university’s health service, the MA Counselling programme and the alumni association. Health service director Dr Deeni Idris stressed the importance of reducing stigma around mental health.
