European University Cyprus received a commendation from the country’s Department of Labour Inspection in the 2026 Good Practice Examples Competition, focused this year on psychosocial risks at work.

The university ranked fourth among 35 submissions. The award was presented on 19 October at the opening of Safety and Health at Work Week.

It recognised the university’s integrated system for the early identification, support and promotion of mental health in the university community, which brings together its First Aid Station and its Centre for Applied Psychology and Personal Development.
