The University of Ghana School of Pharmacy has received the Prof. N. A. Tackie Award for Excellence in Pharmacy Education for the second consecutive year, presented by the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana at its 2026 annual awards.
The award recognises the school’s contribution to pharmacy education and professional training in the country. The society’s annual gathering was held on the university campus.
The school was established in 2007 and admitted its first 34 students in 2008, 31 of whom graduated in 2012. Its 20th anniversary celebrations are expected to peak in November 2027.
