Mount Kenya University (MKU), Kenya, joined a local foundation and other partners, including the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), to run a free medical camp in Katambu, Chuluni Ward, Kitui East.

Many residents braved the heat and dry weather of this arid region to access care. The area is mainly rural, and many households depend on livestock keeping.

Residents received health education, consultations, general and breast cancer screening, eye care, dental check-ups and treatment. Practitioners from the university’s College of Health Sciences worked alongside the partner organisations.
