Hamad Bin Khalifa University, a member of Qatar Foundation, ranked 126th in the world in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027. It is the first and only Arab university in the top 150.

The rankings assess research-intensive universities in five areas: teaching, research environment, research quality, international outlook and industry.

University President Ahmad M. Hasnah credited the work of faculty, researchers, students and staff, saying the result shows that a university rooted in the Arab region can produce research with global relevance.
