The yacht Arca Sgr, skippered by Furio Benussi, won the Barcolana58, the Trieste regatta in north-eastern Italy, securing a fourth consecutive victory. The boat crossed the finish line by Piazza Unità d’Italia in 1 hour, 5 minutes and 9 seconds, having already won the 2021, 2023, 2024 and 2025 editions.

Second place went to Prosecco Doc Shockwave 3, helmed by Mitja Kosmina, in 1:08:35. Third was Marta 07, helmed by Marta Benussi, born in 2007 and the winner’s daughter, in 1:10:06.

For Furio Benussi, it was his 50th Barcolana. His wife was on board and, for the first time, his daughter Margherita was also part of the crew. The skipper said that at the start all of the boat’s systems shut down, forcing the team to reset them before carrying on with the race.

Benussi said the Trieste regatta has a special atmosphere and that the emotions remain strong, even though they change over time. He added that mooring on the Rive, something he had never done before, and seeing the crowd was “something spectacular”.
