The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) and Tanzania’s Higher Education Students’ Loans Board (HESLB) have strengthened their partnership to improve loan coordination and digital systems.

During a visit by the board’s Executive Director, Dr Bill Kiwia, on 23 October, 1,668 students received guidance on loan administration, digital disbursement and repayment duties.

Students were also helped to register on a digital system that lets them electronically confirm receipt of approved loan funds. Deputy Vice-Chancellor Prof. Bernadeta Killian highlighted the value of the partnership for students.
