The University of Latvia hosted the 6th CERN Baltic Conference in Riga from 13 to 15 October, an annual event organised by the CERN Baltic Group.
The event brought together researchers, higher education institutions, policy makers and industry from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. The programme covered particle physics, nuclear and atomic physics, accelerator and detector technologies, and the medical and societal applications of particle accelerators.
The organisers aimed to strengthen regional collaboration, give scientists a platform to present recent achievements and support the Baltic research and innovation ecosystem, including cooperation with industry.
