Day centres for older people and people with disabilities in the municipality of Porto Novo, on the island of Santo Antão, have received a donation of foodstuffs from Projeto Zé Luís Solidário. The delivery was made by the project’s representative, Linny Tavares.

The donation included cereals, rice, pasta, beans, tinned food and couscous flour, among other products, intended to improve the diet of the people who attend these centres.

The councillor for social action, Ândrea Alves, praised the gesture and stressed that the donations contribute to the wellbeing and dignity of the centres’ users. The municipality has three day centres, serving around 80 older people as well as people with disabilities, supported by a team of carers.
