Fraunhofer ISE’s Energy-Charts platform launched a free simulator to explore how battery storage can change electricity prices.

The tool is updated daily with real market bids and lets users configure batteries from 0 to 20 GW with durations of two to six hours.

In a 2025-data exercise, 20 GW of two-hour batteries reduced the average daily price spread from €130 to €53 per MWh. This is a hypothetical scenario, not a forecast.
