The Government of India has approved Green Energy Corridor Phase III to develop intra-state electricity transmission systems.
The programme is designed to evacuate up to 135 GW of renewable capacity and includes 50 GWh of battery energy storage systems.
The batteries will add grid flexibility, helping manage variable generation, congestion and demand outside solar hours.
