High school students completed the second edition of the Universidad del Valle de Guatemala (UVG) Arduino Club, a pre-university programme for young people who want to learn programming and electronics outside school hours.
Pupils from ten schools across the country took part. They built working prototypes and presented their results to a jury that judged creativity, oral presentation, technical performance, circuit organisation and the projects’ practical use.
At the closing session, participants received diplomas and kits, and the best projects won prizes. One was a fairground game in which you must slide a metal ring along a wire without the two touching.
