The Finnish public broadcaster Yle’s live stream Pentulive (Puppy Live) has six new stars. Hilkka, the dog who had been the star of the broadcast, gave birth early on Saturday morning, with thousands of people following the birth.
The litter consists of two females and four males. According to Yle, all the puppies are growing well and gaining weight as expected, and regular weigh-ins show that each one is getting enough milk. Hilkka is taking good care of her young.
The stream runs 24 hours a day from the breeder’s home for eight weeks, following the puppies from before birth until they leave for their new families. To protect the dog and her litter, Yle is not disclosing the breeder’s identity.
