A SINTEF-led project is developing an open tool to support the replacement of fluorinated gases used in refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pumps. These gases can have a global warming effect hundreds or thousands of times greater than that of carbon dioxide.

F-MAP will bring together technical, emissions and cost data to identify the most cost-effective or lowest-emission pathways for cutting these gases. The tool, data and results will be published openly.
