Guinea hosted the 21st General Assembly of the West African Power Pool (WAPP) in Conakry on 6 and 7 November, under the theme “Consolidating the regional electricity market: a lever of resilience for West Africa”.

The meeting brought together energy officials from across the region and technical and financial partners to review progress and discuss new power generation and transmission infrastructure.

Participants also examined ways to strengthen links between national grids, making cross-border power exchanges easier and supply more reliable and sustainable.
