Indonesia’s 39th National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS) opened on 3 November at Diponegoro University (UNDIP) in Semarang, with 420 teams from 99 universities, more than 2,000 students and 62 national judges.

This year’s theme is “Realising an Advanced, Sustainable and Noble Indonesia through Adaptive and Impactful Student Innovation”. Students present ideas and projects with academic value that also aim to address problems in society.

Organising committee chair Professor Heru Susanto noted that reaching the national stage is already an achievement after a long process of developing ideas, doing research and defending the results scientifically.
