Universidad del Valle de Guatemala (UVG) organised Erasmus Days Guatemala 2026, marking the university’s 60th anniversary, to present the Conecta Europa project to students and alumni.
Since 2023, Conecta Europa has run training, international partnerships and support so that more Guatemalans can take part in Erasmus+. At the opening, Celia Ordóñez of the European Union Delegation in Guatemala explained how the project helps build networks between universities and professionals.
In a round table, former scholars shared their experiences: Nicole Sibrian studied sustainable food systems in Belgium, Portugal, Germany and Ireland, and Sergio Andrade completed a master’s in evolutionary biology in the Netherlands, France and Sweden.
