The University of Lagos (UNILAG), Nigeria, hosted a delegation from Germany’s international cooperation agency (GIZ) on 28 October, led by Professor Dr Wolfgang Stefinger, Chairman of the German Bundestag’s Committee on Economic Cooperation and Development.

The delegation arrived via the university’s waterfront and toured NITHub, the campus technology hub, meeting start-ups and interns in its incubation and acceleration programmes.

On behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Muyiwa Falaiye thanked Germany for its support and noted that the university backs start-ups, strengthens digital skills and creates opportunities for young specialists in Nigeria’s digital economy.
