Three academics from the University of Bahrain’s College of Arts and a College of Information Technology student won first place for Best Scientific Research and Innovative Idea at the excellence awards of the 25th European Conference on e-Learning, hosted by Lund University in Sweden.

The winning project, BASAI, uses artificial intelligence to ask questions that adjust to each student’s thinking level instead of supplying answers. The team included Dr Eman Ibrahim Al Doseri, Dr Ghada Ahmed Jasim, Dalal Abdulkarim Ahmed and student Abdulla Yasser.

Dalal Abdulkarim Ahmed also won first place in the conference’s poster competition for an adaptive game to practise listening and speaking in a language.
