Angola’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 8.74% in the second quarter of 2026 compared with the same period of 2025, according to the Quarterly National Accounts released by the Instituto Nacional de Estatística (INE, National Statistics Institute).
The non-oil sector was the main driver, growing by 9.24%, while the oil sector advanced 5.64%. Compared with the first quarter of the year, GDP rose by 2.75%.
Activities with the strongest year-on-year growth included diamond mining (16.46%), information and communication (14.30%), accommodation and food services (12.59%) and manufacturing (12.22%). Agriculture and forestry remained the activity with the largest share of output.
So far in 2026, the Angolan economy has grown by 7.15% compared with the same period of the previous year.
