Seoul Seobuk Hospital, a public healthcare facility in Eunpyeong district in the west of the capital, hosted delegations from Denmark and Kenya in September. The institution presented its practices in dementia care, tuberculosis control and palliative care as training examples.
The Danish delegation, which visited the hospital on 10 September, toured the dementia ward, the carer support rooms, the non-pharmacological treatment programmes and a multisensory room, and attended a music-based care session.
On 17 September, 17 officials from Kenya’s Ministry of Health arrived as part of a 14-day training programme run by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). They were briefed on tuberculosis programmes for vulnerable groups, palliative care for terminal cancer patients and dementia support.
The hospital’s director, Lee Chang-kyu, said these exchanges create a valuable framework for sharing knowledge on a regular basis and pledged to keep contributing to international health cooperation.
