Fiji National University (FNU) signed an agreement on 3 November at its Nadi campus with an Australian fitness college and a local institute to expand fitness and wellness training in the country.
Through the university’s National Training and Productivity Centre, learners can take fitness certificates, a certificate in training and assessment and short wellness courses, including leadership programmes for corporate, resort, youth and disability wellness, plus first aid.
The university provides facilities, the local institute handles enrolments and learner support, and the Australian college supplies the curriculum and qualifications. FNU plans to extend these courses to other Pacific countries.
