The National University of Asunción (UNA), Paraguay, hosted the 9th Power and Energy Seminar on innovation and the energy transition on 24 October at its Faculty of Engineering on the San Lorenzo campus.
The event was organised by the university’s IEEE Power & Energy Society student branch chapter, led by student Victoria González, and was aimed at students, lecturers, professionals, researchers and companies in the sector.
Topics included power systems, energy efficiency, renewable sources, electric mobility and energy planning. The programme featured an electric vehicle test drive and closed with a talk by a specialist from the country’s nuclear and radiological regulatory agency.
