Comenius University Bratislava is the only Slovak university in the new Industry Collaboration Index, published for the first time by Global Research Partnerships. The index measures actual links between academic research and business.
The university placed 551st among the 1,038 institutions assessed worldwide, earning a place in the silver band. In pharmaceuticals and therapeutics, it placed 515th among 638 institutions.
The index assesses collaboration with industry from 2021 to 2025 using four criteria: research co-created with companies, partnership durability, network scale and the breadth of partners’ fields. Wageningen (Netherlands), MIT (USA) and the University of Tokyo (Japan) topped the ranking.
