Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) in Georgia hosted “Colorful and Fun Chemistry”, an educational event that took schoolchildren on a journey into the world of science.
University students and professors presented experiments, research projects and discoveries. The children joined in the experiments, learned simple chemical reactions and saw first-hand how interesting science can be.
Rector Jaba Samushia stressed the importance of sparking young people’s interest in research, saying children should be able to ask questions, run experiments and see how closely science is linked to daily life.
