Türkiye’s Teachers’ Academy Foundation, ÖRAV, won the ninth UNESCO-Hamdan Prize for Teacher Development alongside initiatives from Ethiopia and Indonesia.
The Turkish programme turns professional learning into peer collaboration and has reached 38,934 teachers. The three award-winning projects offer approaches ranging from learning through play to teacher leadership.
Each winner receives US$100,000 to expand its work. The laureates were announced during the World Teachers’ Day celebration at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.
